Italy is currently facing a decisive challenge: transforming artificial intelligence into a driver of competitiveness, innovation and modernization for the country’s economic system. In an increasingly competitive international landscape, AI represents a strategic lever for economic growth, public administration efficiency and industrial development, while requiring a clear, coordinated and implementation-oriented regulatory framework.
The entry into force of the European AI Act and the first national provisions marks the beginning of a new phase, in which the priority will be to ensure the effective application of the rules without slowing down investment, experimentation and technological adoption. In this context, the Policy Paper proposes a series of operational and governance measures aimed at simplifying the implementation of the artificial intelligence regulatory framework while fostering innovation, regulatory certainty and competitiveness.
The presentation event will provide an opportunity for institutions, businesses and experts to discuss the main challenges related to the implementation of AI regulations in Italy and identify concrete solutions to support the development of a more efficient, attractive and competitive national artificial intelligence ecosystem within the European context.
