Climate change and air pollution are the great problems of our generation, but the mitigation measures adopted to date to fight them have not brought the desired results. Without drastic action to reduce CO₂ emissions, the planet's average temperature will rise by four degrees by 2100; we know that only three degrees are enough to cause devastating consequences.

To avoid the risk, a massive planetary decarbonization intervention is needed, with a supranational and transversal approach of the various energy sectors, capable of promoting work, economic activities and improving our living standards. Indeed, the Covid emergency has shown that we cannot win the climate challenge by stopping this approach.
